The Annual Sowerby Lecture in Philosophy and Medicine is the Sowerby Philosophy and Medicine project's flagship event. In 2021, it will be given by Professor Neil Ferguson from Imperial College London.

The Annual Peter Sowerby Essay Contest is awarded each year on the occasion of the Annual Lecture in recognition of an outstanding essay written by a student on an issue relevant to the intersection of philosophy and medicine.
